Mr Waterworth (GMC: 3286898) is a published Cardic Surgeon practising at the Wythenshawe Hospital, part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust where he is also the Lead Surgeon for aneurysms of the thoracic aorta. In addition, he is also one of the main trainers in cardiac surgery in the North West of England.

In addition to his NHS commitments, he has published almost 50 scientific papers on numerous subjects including aortic valve disease, aortic root & thoracic aortic aneurysms, heart transplantation, patients with bicuspid aortic valves, cerebral protection in patients with thoracic aneurysms, risk prediction/risk management in cardiac surgery and minimally invasive/endoscopic vein harvesting.

Mr Waterworth is always delighted to receive instructions to act as a cardiac surgery expert witness and also see patients on a private basis.
